Connection Is Worth It

Mental health, relationship conflict, and the stress of life during COVID can all make it challenging to feel truly connected. But it's worth it: healthy relationships – whether with yourself, loved ones, community, or the natural world – are the cornerstone to wellness. You can choose connection and thrive!

About

Connection Creates Real Change

Belonging is a foundational aspect of emotional wellness. As a counselor I practice this philosophy by working collaboratively with you through every part of our journey. We connect professionally so you can move forward with security and self-compassion. My practice includes individuals, families, and all types of relationships including friends! I welcome LGBTQ, disabled, and ethnic & racial minority clients, and personally hold these identities. My areas of focus are trauma, dissociation, minority stress, personal identity and life purpose, coping with disability, and family & relationship therapy. I specialize in working with teens, adults and elders, couples, addiction in families, domestic violence, and parents with adolescent or adult children. All fees are currently out-of-pocket. Further negotiation of sliding scale is available. To accommodate families & disabled clients I offer appointments as late as 7pm! _ Sahar Jones, QMHP, LMFT Associate completed a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2017, where she focused on working with teens and families impacted by substance use. Sahar has focused her career on providing individual, family, and domestic violence counseling to Indigenous clients, and has been trained to provide transgender-specific services including medical assessment letter writing. When not in practice Sahar enjoys nature walks, writing music and poems, reading speculative fiction, and engaging in spirituality & celebration with community and loved ones. Sahar Jones is a Registered Associate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists under the supervision of Sarah Ellenwood, LPC, LMFT. Sahar is registered with the OBLPCT under her legal name, Stella Jones.
